What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do?
130km cyclesportif on no breakfast in 45 degree heat over 3 mountains in South of France. I ate 14 oranges and a bag of dried apricots along the way. I weaved my way up the last mountain in leg and arm warmers – it was an early start and cold first thing. I feared if I stopped I may not get going again. When I got to the top of the last mountain, I thought ‘oh dear, this could be messy’, as my stomach churned over on all the fruit I had consumed. Fortunately it came up rather than down and was sick all the way down the mountain. To this day I am not quite sure how managed to get to the end!
Hardest thing you’ve had to give up?
I don’t have any really bad unhealthy habits so have never really had to give anything up.
