Blair Castle’s award winning Tullibardine Restaurant has introduced a delectable venison dish to their menu to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, the official charity for this year’s Longines FEI European Eventing Championship.
Created by talented restaurant chef Kelly Gordon, the Venison and Port Bridie has been produced to support the charity’s drive to promote venison as a healthy food and a donation will be made by the restaurant for each dish that is sold to visitors during the Eventing Championships. There will be a second venison dish also available in the restaurant on Friday night.
The Castle’s Tullibardine Restaurant, a member of VisitScotland’s prestigious quality assurance scheme, is extending its opening hours into the evenings during the Championships and visitors will be able to taste the delicious dish, a delicate balance between hearty flavours and healthy eating, on the restaurant’s evening menu. Opening from 6pm – 10pm on Thursday 10th, Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September, visitors can unwind after spending the day enjoying the Eventing Championships with some delicious and locally sourced healthy food.
The castle’s additional opening hours mark an exciting week for Blair Castle hosting Longines FEI European Eventing Championship 2015 which has attracted Europe’s top riders to battle it out for the top honour of individual and Team European Champions. Thousands of visitors are expected to spectate and soak up the atmosphere at Blair 2015.
Andrew Bruce-Wootton, General Manager at Atholl Estates commented:
“We are very proud to the host of the Longines FEI European Eventing Championship 2015 and welcome thousands of spectators to enjoy the Horse Trials on Atholl Estates and looking forward to extending a warm welcome to both competitors and spectators. We would like to invite visitors, while here to see the competition unfold, to experience the spectacular Blair Castle.
“The castle will be open later for tours and the Tullibardine Restaurant will have extended opening hours to welcome visitors well into the evenings during the competition. We hope many people will try our chef, Kelly’s delicious Venison and Pork Bridie and support the British Heart Foundation at the same time.”
