Join us at Glendoick Garden Centre as we hold our first joint meeting with the Women Ahead group from Dundee. This lunchtime meeting will give you the opportunity to mix with new people, explore PBN Member Jane Cox’s fabulous Garden Centre and hear from the award winning Perthshire artisan producer, Rose Martin from the wee pie company.
We’ll enjoy a buffet style lunch from the cafe in Glendoick – delicious, homemade, proper cooking! – before hearing from our guest speakers, Jan Cox and Rose Martin.
Jane Cox is a director and part owner of Glendoick Garden Centre. After 25 years in London publishing, she married and came to Scotland where she set about improving the cafe in her husband’s garden centre, adding a food hall in 2009.
Jane will talk about how she set about learning an entirely new trade, her passion for food and some of the hard lessons she learnt on the way.
Rose Martin is the owner and producer at The Wee Pie Company, located just outside of Perth in the village of Glendoick. Rose is passionate about providing quality food to the customer by using locally sourced natural ingredients and traditional and original recipes which provide a fuller flavoured, tastier and healthier eating experience.
Our event will run from 12pm – 2pm. Homemade soup & sandwiches will be served – please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
We are restricted to 15 people for this event and would strongly advice that you book quickly to secure your place. We will be operating a waiting list so please, if you find we are full, drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and request to be placed on the mailing list.
