Specialising in all things related to running a successful holiday rental property I established TS Properties back in 2005 as being the owner of a holiday home myself, I saw a gap in the market for a company that offered a tailored, flexible and friendly solution for property owners. By offering a range of services from photography, to a simple marketing advert, right through to full management, holiday home owners can choose what components they need help with and be as hands on with their property as their time affords them.
I have extensive experience (over 20 years) within the Tourism sector having obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Travel & Tourism in Northern Ireland in 1991, followed by a BA from Napier University in Edinburgh in Hospitality (Tourism) Management. I was attracted to the sector as I enjoyed travelling and hoped that my qualifications would lead me to explore many new places, and when I look back over my career and holidays to date I’ve definitely seen a fair bit of the World! I have also been very fortunate to have undertaken a variety of exciting roles, from opening crew at Euro Disney in Paris (now Disneyland Paris) where I received Disney’s world renowned customer service training, to aircraft dispatcher at both Edinburgh and Newcastle Airports where I managed the turnaround of flights from the point of landing until take-off … I was the one who walked around with a yellow fluorescent jacket (very attractive), a walkie-talkie and a clipboard! Through to Managing Director of a 5-star Country Estate with holiday cottages, golf course, riding stables, Delicatessen and Bar / Restaurant in Perthshire. It certainly has been varied career and during that time I developed my skills in people management, sales & marketing, IT systems and book-keeping.
Now 9 years on, my business (TS Properties) is experiencing tremendous growth and currently showcases over 100 holiday properties with new properties being added all of the time. Being the owner of a business, albeit it a growing one and one that I thoroughly enjoy, can be a lonely place though, so in 2013 I decided to join PBN to meet likeminded professional women, make friends and share experiences to help me develop further personally and in turn continue to grow my business. At the same time I also agreed to join the Committee as I felt it would be a good way to get the most out of the network and to be able to play a fundamental part in shaping the future of the network to make a difference to others. I have found PBN to be friendly and welcoming and am very happy to be able to support it as a Committee member.
