Communications Surgery 28th January 2014

Join us for our first event of 2014 as we help you stick to that resolution to sort out your Business Communications! This event covers facebook, twitter, linked-in, google tool box and a miscellaneous copywriting section on blogging, newsletters and online copy.

Our comms experts – 4 PBN members and a couple of well-respected blokes! – will each be addressing a different area of Online Business Communication. Each will offer three slots for eight people and these slots will hone in on a specific question or aspect from their chosen field.

New Format

“I don’t know about you but I’ve been to a few of these types of events and the problem is always that it has to be pitched to the middle of the audience – so nothing is for complete beginners, nothing is helping those more competent people stretch themselves and as a result, we never leave really satisfied! Couple this with the fact that there is soooo much that can be covered and it’s nigh on impossible to please everyone!” – Nicki Martin, PBN Chair

So, we’ve gone surgery style! This way you can attend up to three workshops that are right for YOU and your business. Attendees on the night can choose one slot in each time frame allowing them to listen in and ask questions where they feel they will benefit most. There are only eight places at each so you will have plenty of opportunity to interact with your expert. So, if its twitter that has you in a tizzy check out Graeme’s table, if you wonder what all the bluster about blogging is then see Nicki…. You get the idea, right?

We believe that this format will allow us to offer something for everyone – so whether you are a facebook virgin, a twitter flirter or if you’re trying to figure out why your website’s just not being noticed, then this is the event for you! There will also be topics for the more experienced among you providing extra tricks and tips to help you get everything communicating even more efficiently!

You don’t need to book a place at every time slot – we have a networking area where you can take time to mingle and chat to Yvonne Harrison from the Courier and The guys from the hugely successful mi Perthshire – some of you may even be entitled to register your business for free – a saving of £200!. Beverly Callander from the committee will also be up there to chat about PBN in general.

It’s a slightly different format so here’s a quick Overview

Each session lasts 35 – 40 minutes with a presentation from the expert and a chance for you to ask questions on that topic. Each slot will be limited to 8 people. Feel free to book for one, two or three of the slots. If you are free, we’ll have a networking zone that will be open all night, where you can enjoy tea and coffee, and a chat with Bev from our committee, Yvonne Harrison from the Courier and the team behind the local mi Perthshire app.

We’ll be kicking off at 6pm with a hot fork buffet in the networking zone, making sure you’re well fuelled up for the night ahead!
